Let’s invest 10 percent of the earnings in Nepal: NRNA President Dr. KC
London. President of Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Dr. Badri KC has called upon Nepalis living abroad to invest a certain portion of their earnings in Nepal. He made this request while addressing an interactive program on citizenship, property, land rights and investment held in Liverpool organized by Liverpool Nepali Society, UK.
Dr. KC said, ‘In order to continue the relationship with Nepal, it is important to invest in Nepal. If only 10 percent of the earned abroad can be invested in Nepal, the country will be on the road to prosperity and the relationship with the second generation will also be maintained. So, let’s invest in Nepal.’ He also requested to do charity work along with investment in Nepal. Dr. According to KC, due to the initiative of the Non-Resident Nepali Association, the Constitution of Nepal has guaranteed non-resident Nepali citizenship, and he expressed his belief that the difficulties in the implementation of this citizenship will be removed soon.
He stated that after taking non-resident citizenship, there will be no limitation in keeping one’s property in Nepal and NRN citizenship will fully protect the property. Vice President of Non-Resident Nepali Association Dr. Hemraj Sharma also asked to join the non-resident Nepali campaign.
