Kathmandu. The rate of tourist arrivals in Nepal is continuously increasing. According to the statistics of the Nepal Tourism Board, 128,443 foreign tourists have visited Nepal in the month of October this year alone. The board has stated that the number of tourists has increased significantly as this is the tourist season.
According to statistics, 29,060 tourists have come to Nepal from South Asia, 23,127 from other Asian countries, 40,500 from Europe, 6,814 from Oceania, 16,407 from America, 3,548 from the Middle East, 443 from Africa, and 8,444 from other countries.
A total of 943,716 foreign tourists have entered Nepal from January to October this year. This is a significant increase compared to the same period last year, according to the board’s analysis.
In October, 17,298 tourists from India, 13,286 from the US, 8,718 from the UK, 6,755 from China, 6,366 from Germany, and 6,177 from Australia visited Nepal.
Similarly, 5,535 tourists from Sri Lanka, 5,455 from France, 4,641 from Bangladesh, and 3,038 from Myanmar have visited Nepal.
The Nepal Tourism Board expects tourist arrivals to increase further in the coming months due to mountain climbing, trekking, and cultural tours.
