Trump spoke with Zelensky, will meet in the US on Monday
Toronto. President Donald Trump spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for about an hour on his way back to Washington, D.C. from Alaska.
White House press secretary Carolyn Levitt said Trump also spoke by phone with leaders of NATO countries.
Similarly, the British Prime Minister’s Office has confirmed that Prime Minister Keir Starmer spoke with Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky after the Alaska talks.
This morning, he also had a phone conversation with other European leaders of NATO allies.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian president’s office confirmed that Zelensky spoke with Trump and European leaders this morning.
The office said, “It was a long conversation. The conversation started between Zelensky and Trump. Then European leaders also joined in.”
Ukrainian President Zelensky said he would meet with President Trump in Washington, D.C., on Monday. In an update on Telegram, he said he was grateful for the invitation.
