Canadian Economic Minister Sahota expressed happiness at being able to celebrate Nepali National Hat Day and New Year 2025 with the Nepali community
Shishir Simkhada, Toronto. Nepali National Hat Day and English New Year-2025 have been celebrated with great pomp in various cities of Canada. Nepal House Canada organized the event and coordinated by NRNA Canada, Kaski Society Canada, NCNC, Nepali Literary Society Canada, Lali Gurans Sports Club, Nepalese Canadian Cricket Club, Canadian Newa Guthi and other organizations. The Nepali National Hat Day and English New Year-2025 exchange of best wishes program was held with great pomp.

The chief guest at the event held on the first day of the New Year in Brampton, Toronto, was Ruby Sahota, the federal Minister of Economic Development of the Government of Canada.
At the event, the chief guest, Minister for Economic Development Ruby Sahota, was welcomed and honored by Nepal House Chairperson Gopikrishna Kafle by donning a Dhaka topi. On that occasion, the chief guest, Federal Minister for Economic Development of the Government of Canada, Ruby Sahota, said that it was a matter of great joy and pride for her to celebrate Nepal’s identity with the Nepali community by exchanging greetings on Nepali National Topi Day and the English New Year-2025.
Federal Minister Sahota said that such programs would help everyone unite for the economic, social and cultural development and promotion of the Nepali community and Canada as a whole. She also said that she would always work hand in hand with the Nepali community to move forward.

The program, chaired by Nepal House Chairperson Gopikrishna Kafle, was graced by NRNA Canada Vice President Kiroj Shrestha, General Secretary Chanda Adhikari, Social Worker Dhundiraj Pandey, Rotary Club Year 16/17 President Chandraman Shrestha, Senior Advocate Keshav Dahal, Pravasi Nepali Manch Canada President Ramesh Dhital, NCNC Canada Vice President Bedanidhi Gautam, Mahila Chautari President Ambika Gyawali, Nepalese Center’s Devendra Nepal and others. NRNA Board Member Jagan Sapkota, Businessman Dr. Purna Kandel and representatives of various organizations were present at the program.
Similarly, Nepali National Hat Day and English New Year-2025 exchange of wishes programs were held grandly in Ottawa and Calgary cities of Canada.
