Haritalika (Teez): The day before is eaten Dar today

Kathmandu. On the eve of the Haritalika (Teez) fast, today, Hindu women are preparing to eat tar. The festival of Teej is starting from today along with Darkhane Day.

Today, Dar is eaten on the first day of Teej, which is especially celebrated by Nepali women. Maiti has a tradition of feeding chelbeti with bolai tar.

Pure dishes especially made from milk are eaten as fare. Which makes fasting days slow. As those who fast on Teej are fasting, today the people prepare for tomorrow’s fast by eating sweet and salty dishes to gain strength.

The festival of Teej, which officially begins today after the meal, is celebrated till Rishi Panchami. Teej ends with Haritalika Vrat on Tritiya day, Ganesha worship on fourth day and Saptarishi worship along with Arundhati on Panchami day.
