Lions Club of Mississauga Canada Nepal’s Charter Night was a grand success (with photo feature)
Toronto. The second Charter Night of the Lions Club of Mississauga Canada Nepal has been successfully concluded. The program was chaired by the club president, Ghanashyam Bhattarai, and the club’s first vice president, Gokarna Lamichhane, delivered the welcome speech.
The chief guest of the program was the district governor of Lions Club International District A-711, Virona Payne. The chief guest of the program, Virona, inaugurated the program by pouring water in a pot.
At the program, chartered members were honored with food and Lions pins, and new members were welcomed. Similarly, the district governor and the club president jointly cut a cake to mark the grand opening of the charter night. On the same occasion, girls Pratishtha, Priyanshu, Ayushi, Prisha, Prakriti, and Ashvika performed a dance performance reflecting Nepali culture.
The chief guest of the second Charter Night program organized by the club was District Governor Virona Payne, special guest First Vice District Governor Phoebe Kagumba Sibanda, Second Vice District Governor Lawrence, Past District Governor Dan Sibanda, Past District Cabinet Advisor Pam, Lions Club of Mississauga Cookeville President Ashish Adhikari expressed their best wishes at the program.
On the same occasion, NRNA Canada Senior Vice President Punyasagar Marhattha, Nepali Nursing Association President Paru Pandey, Laligurras Sports and Cultural Club General Secretary Dharma Neupane, journalist Benup Bhattarai, social worker Dhundiraj Pandey and others expressed their best wishes. The program was conducted by Secretary Dhrubamani Poudel. After the formal program, Lions Fellowship and Get Together programs were organized.
The club has been conducting blood donation programs every 3 months as part of its social responsibility. Similarly, various creative activities such as cleanliness programs carried out in various parks and some hunger relief programs have been done during the year.
