Meeting between Kalika Municipality Mayor Regmi and Brampton Mayor Brown, development models to be exchanged while maintaining sisterly relations

Toronto. A courtesy call was held today between Patrick Brown, Mayor of Brampton Municipality, Canada, and Binod Regmi, Mayor of Kalika Municipality, Chitwan, Nepal.

The meeting between the two mayors of the municipalities will establish sister relationships between the two municipalities and exchange development models. In addition, the meeting discussed the exchange of development models and technologies between each other. Brampton Municipality Mayor Patrick Brown expressed his happiness at meeting the mayor of Nepal. He said that for the first time, his municipality will be able to establish sister relationships with Kalika Municipality of Nepal and it will be a new learning experience for Brampton Municipality as well.

Kalika Municipality Mayor Binod Regmi said that he was impressed by the development model of Canada’s Brampton Municipality and said that there is a possibility of developing infrastructure and technology in Kalika Municipality by learning a lot from Brampton Municipality, which is a leader in development. Brampton Municipality, which has developed as a flower city, is also a famous municipality in cricket. Expressing happiness that Brampton Municipality is the best municipality in Canada due to sports and infrastructure as well as the beauty of flowers, Kalika Municipality Mayor Regmi had also formally invited Brampton Municipality Mayor Patrick Brown to visit his municipality.

On monday, the occasion of the meeting, Kalika Mayor Regmi and Brampton Municipality Mayor Patrick Brown and Deputy Mayor Harkirat Singh exchanged greetings. Pravasi Nepali Manch Canada President Ramesh Dhital, former NRNA President Gopikrishna Kafle, Pravasi Nepali Manch Canada member Shudarshan Adhikari, youth activist Bikash Dallakoti, NRNA Canada board member Jagan Sapkota and others were present on the occasion.
