Nepali passport team arriving in Portugal to collect applications for e-passport
A joint team of the Passport Department Kathmandu and the Nepali Embassy in France will come to Portugal to provide services to Nepalis facing passport-related problems in Portugal. The Nepali Ambassador to France Sudhir Bhattarai informed that a three-member team led by Moti Bahadur Srees, Director of the Department for Tourist Services, is preparing to come to Portugal.
It is said that three employees of the department and one of the Nepali Embassy in France will participate in the team. Ambassador Bhattarai said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Foreign Affairs are going to send a mobile team with special priority to solve the passport-related problems of Nepalese in Portugal. He said that preparations are being made for collection. Bhattarai said that it is estimated that more than 2,500 e-passport applications will be collected from the camp.
The team will collect applications for new passports of children whose passports have expired, whose passports are less than one year old, damaged, lost and children born in Portugal. said. Ambassador Bhattarai has also requested to fill the online application form for e-passport and take an appointment.
A few months ago, a team from the Nepali Embassy in France came to Portugal and provided passport-related services for a week. After the arrival of the team, the Nepali people who are in trouble because of not being able to renew their passports and make new passports will be relieved.
