Presedent Ghanshyam Bhattarai & Executive Committee re-elected as of Mississauga Canada Nepal Lions Club
Toronto. Ghanashyam Bhattarai has been unanimously re-elected as the President of the Mississauga Canada Nepal Lions Club. The entire executive committee, including President Bhattarai, has been unanimously elected for the Lion Year 2026-27.
Dhruvamani Poudel was elected as the club’s secretary and Rishi Pokharel as the treasurer. The club’s second annual general meeting elected Gokarna Lamichhane as the first vice president, Kamal Gyawali as the second vice president, and Prabin Poudel as the third vice president.

Similarly, Shishir Sinkhara has been elected as Marketing and Communication Chairperson, Ramesh Dhital as Membership Chairperson, Birendra Poudel as Club Service Chairperson, Tail Twister Damodar Poudel, Lion Tamer Anil Gyawali and Club LCF Coordinator Jagannath Sapkota have been selected. Shudarshan Adhikari and Gokarna Kunwar have been elected as 1-year directors of the club, and Bed Bahadur Gurung and Toplal Pandey have been elected as 2-year directors.
Amrit Chhetri was selected as the Youth Program Chairperson, Nam Bhusal as the Hunger Relief Chairperson, Narayan Parajuli as the Peace Poster Chairperson, Chhavilal Sharma as the Vision/Sight Program Chairperson, and Dhurva Bhattarai as the Diabetes Awareness Chairperson. Similarly, Babukrishna Kandel, Yuvraj Sharma, Sunil Adhikari, Damodar Gautam, Prajapati Sapkota, Sagar Gurung, and Ramkrishna Regmi were selected as the Board of Committee Members.
At the organization’s second general meeting and fellowship program held in Brampton on Saturday evening, May 2, the president’s future work plan, the secretary’s progress report, and the treasurer’s financial report were unanimously passed.
Phoebe Sibanda, First Vice Governor of Lions International District A711, Past District Governor Dan Sibanda, and Ashish Adhikari, President of the sponsor club Mississauga Cooks Valley Club, delivered congratulatory speeches at the event.
The club has been participating in regular blood donation programs, park cleanup programs, hunger relief programs, tree planting programs organized by the Mississauga Municipality, and Lions District and other programs at various levels as part of its social responsibility program.
