Putin to visit China to meet Xi as soon as Trump returns
Agency. Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to visit China on May 19.
The Russian Presidential Office (Kremlin) issued a statement on Saturday announcing that President Putin will pay a two-day visit to China on May 19 and 20.
According to the Kremlin statement, “During the visit, Putin will discuss important international and regional issues with Chinese President Xi Jinping, and at the end of the talks, the two will sign a joint declaration.”
Earlier, on Friday, US President Donald Trump returned home after completing his visit to China.
Trump, who visited China for three days on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, met and held several meetings with Xi Jinping.
Shortly thereafter, Russian President Putin announced his plans to visit China.
